SK Peter A Randall Biography

Peter started his Masonic journey as a DeMolay in 1973 in Dedham Chapter.  In 1976, he attained the rank of Master Councilor.  In 1979 he served as a state officer and received the honor of Chevelier.  In 1980 he joined Constellation Lodge (in Dedham) – now known as Celestial Lodge (in Westwood).  He was Master of Constellation Lodge 1986-87 and 1988-89.  In 1990 he served as a Grand Steward for the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.  In 1998-2000 he served as District Deputy Grand Secretary of the Hyde Park 25th Masonic District under R.W. Eugene B. Nichols.  In 2004 with several other brethren they started a new lodge – J. Philip Berquist Lodge of which Peter was the second Master from 2006-2008.  In 2005-2006 Peter was appointed District Deputy of the 6th Masonic District and in 2009 he served as Sr. Grand Warden for the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.

In the 1980’s he also joined the following organizations: Mahded Grotto (now known as Moslem Grotto), Valley of Boston Scottish Rite and Aleppo Shrine.  In 1995 he joined the Order of Eastern Star with his wife, Holly, and in 2001 started his journey in York Rite when he joined Neponset Valley Royal Arch Chapter and became High Priest in 2009.  He joined Hyde Park Council, Royal and Select Masters in 2007.  Finally – he joined St. Bernard Commandery #12 in 2011 and affiliated with United Commandery #21 in (2014) where he joined the ranks and become Commander for 2 years – Oct 2017 – Sep 2019.  At this point he had to step away from United Commandery for 4 years while he served as Associate Patron and then Worthy Patron at Angle Stone Chapter #118 in Foxboro, MA.

In 2019 he was appointed to grand line of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar and Appendant Orders of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. 

During his 45 year career as a Mason, Peter attended Northeastern University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  1990 he married Holly Smith (a former Rainbow girl) and they started a family with 2 children – Eric and Amy.   He served his churches on the Board of Users, Deacons, Trustees  and Finance Committees.  He has received the following honors the Degree of Chevalier, Legion of Honor, The Benjamin Hurd Medal, and the Henry Price Service Award.
